About Me

Hi, my name is Ashley Murphy, and founder of Safe & Sound Parenting. As well as being a Pediatric Sleep Consultant, I’m also a Registered Nurse and a mother to two happy, well rested kiddos. Although, it wasn’t always that way. The struggles I went through as a new mom was what lead me to want to help other sleep deprived families like yours. I know firsthand that things can get better and babies ARE meant to be good sleepers. They just need to be taught the skills to do so. Sleep training my firstborn was LIFE CHANGING for and my family. Although I loved my baby, I was able to start enjoying him until we both started sleeping better. After sleep training my confidence as a mom increased significantly, my mood improved, my relationship my partner improved and I was finally able to start embracing motherhood! Fast forward to baby number two…while fully taking in my newborn and soaking in all the new baby cuddles, I started implementing the sleep shaping skills from the day I brought her home from the hospital. With her doctor’s approval, at 5 weeks old she gave me her first 5 hour stretch of sleep, at 7 weeks old 8 hours and by week 11 she was sleeping 11-12 hours through the night…
